Winter Retreat - Cozy Lakeside VRChat World Commission

When designing Winter Retreat, the goal wasn’t to create a large event venue or social hub. Instead, the focus was on building a quiet and comfortable space that felt like somewhere people could truly unwind.

Set on the edge of a frozen lake deep in the middle of winter, Winter Retreat combines modern cabin architecture with a peaceful natural setting. Falling snow, dense fog, and soft lighting work together to create an atmosphere that feels calm, secluded, and inviting.

Every area of the world was designed around relaxation and social interaction. The open living spaces provide room for friends to gather, while the surrounding environment offers a sense of privacy and escape from the busier side of VRChat. The result is a world that feels equally suited to quiet evenings alone or small gatherings with friends.

Beyond its atmosphere, the world includes a range of interactive features and games to keep visitors entertained without disrupting the relaxed pace of the environment. Careful attention was given to balancing immersion, usability, and performance to create a space that feels comfortable to spend time in.

Built as a private VRChat world commission, Winter Retreat was created specifically around the client’s vision of a cozy lakeside cabin in the dead of winter. This world is a custom commissioned project and is not available for sale.
